Hospital do Mar Gaia Distinguished in the Portuguese Network of Integrated Care
Hospital do Mar Gaia of Specialized Care meets all the requirements of quality, according to the evaluation of the Portuguese Network of Integrated Continuing Care by SNS, the Portuguese Healthcare Service.
Hospital do Mar Gaia of Specialized Care, which is part of Luz Saúde group, meets all the requirements of quality in healthcare providing, no nonconformity being identified, according to an evaluation of the Portuguese Network of Integrated Continuing Care (RNCCI) concerning the first quarter of 2017.
As private healthcare provider integrating RNCCI, Hospital do Mar was the unit elected to hold the session of presentation and discussion of the network results, last May 23, which was presided by Manuel Lopes, national coordinator for the Reform of the Portuguese Healthcare Service in the area of Integrated Continuing Care.
Besides Manuel Lopes, other members of the Regional Coordinating Team in the North and of the local Coordinating Team of ACES Vila Nova de Gaia participated in the session.
The participants reflected on potential improvements to introduce in the operation of this national network and took a tour of the Hospital do Mar Gaia of Specialized Care.
Hospital do Mar Gaia of Specialized Care develops its activity in the areas of convalescence and rehabilitation, specialized geriatric care and family support, englobing patients with permanent or terminal pathologies. This evaluation by RNCCI is the result of the commitment and dedication of all professionals, in conformity with the quality requirements of Luz Saúde.
