Hospital da Luz Lisboa Neurologist Paper on cover of Cephalalgia
Raquel Gil-Gouveia, neurologist at Hospital da Luz Lisboa, is the author of a paper distinguished by Cephalalgia journal on the cover of its April edition.
The paper, entitled “The impact of cognitive symptoms on migraine attack-related disability”, intended to analyse the presence and relevance of cognitive symptoms during migraine crises and associate its intensity and consequent disability with other migraine connected symptoms.
The April edition of Cephalalgia refers the paper on the cover, illustrating it with a chart showing the correlation between the intensity of each symptom and the global intensity of the migraine attack.
The study on the base of this paper publication is part of the work undertaken by Raquel Gil-Gouveia for her doctoral dissertation, presented at Faculdade de Medicina, Universidade de Lisboa, last December.
Raquel Gil-Gouveia is a neurologist at Hospital da Luz Lisboa since its opening. She has dedicated all her career in particular to cephalea, currently coordinating the Cephalea Center at this hospital.
Cephalalgia is a scientific journal elaborated by the International Headache Society that publishes monthly original papers dedicated to every aspect related to migraines and other kinds of headaches.
