Hospital da Luz Coordinator of Anesthesiology receives 'honorable mention'
The Coordinator of the Hospital da Luz Department of Anesthesiology, José António Bismarck, has today, 16th October, been awarded an honorable mention by the Portuguese Society of Anesthesiology, as part of the society's 60th anniversary celebrations.
José António Bismarck is distinguished for his professional career and his work with the Portuguese Society of Anesthesiology. He has been a member of the General Assembly for several years and Chairman of the Society for about 14 years. He was one of those behind the creation of an obstetric anesthesia section of this society, in addition to collaborating regularly at all its events.
José Bismarck has been at the Hospital da Luz since it opened. He is currently Coordinator of the Department of Anesthesiology, Assistant Clinical Director of the hospital, member of the committee on emergency and resuscitation services and coordinator of surgery at Hospital da Luz.
The celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Portuguese Society of Anesthesiology is to be held at the Hotel Olissippo Lapa Palace in Lisbon, with a debate on 'the younger generation in the medical profession'. Maria de Belém Roseira, former Minister of Health, is one of the special guests at this ceremony which also features the presence of António Gomes, Tiago Reis Marques and Inês Silva.
