Raquel Gil-Gouveia, neurologist and coordinator of Headache Centre at Hospital da Luz, presented her doctoral dissertation in Medicine, Neurology speciality, on December 11, at Faculdade de Medicina of Universidade de Lisboa, receiving unanimous approval with distinction and honours.

The dissertation, entitled «Cognitive Function During Migraine Attacks», was aimed at studying the occurrence of cognitive symptoms during migraine crises, evaluating the occurrence of objective cognitive dysfunction and associated neuronal substrate, and studying the effect of migraine persistence over 50 on cognitive function and the risk of cognitive decline.
