1000 MRI prostate scans at Hospital da Luz
The Urogenital Imaging Unit at the Hospital da Luz Imaging Centre recently conducted the 1,000th MRI scan for prostate cancer.
These tests follow the parameters of the international protocol on multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging for prostate cancer, with which it is possible to build clinical databases to carry out scientific studies on prostate cancer.
The Hospital da Luz combines excellence in diagnostic imaging with the provision of various therapies for prostate cancer, from robotic surgery to radiation therapy or chemotherapy. The interaction between the specialisms involved allows a multidisciplinary view of the patient and the decision on the most appropriate treatment for each case.
