Digital Clinical Centre: Have an Active Role in Your Health
Hospital da Luz offers a new service to its clients: the Digital Clinical Centre, destined to follow-up and monitor chronic disease. Hospital da Luz Digital Clinical Centre allows not only more proximity between patient and doctor, but also enables the patient to have an active role in his health.
Through the Client Portal of Hospital da Luz network, the client may, in a simple, intuitive and totally safe way, enter data and measurements concerning his clinical situation – such as weight, height, arterial pressure, cholesterol and chronic headache episodes – and pose questions for consultation. These data can be visualized by the respective physician, allowing him a more accurate view on the evolution of the patient’s state of health.
“We are in the digital era, people have more mobility and seek more convenience and economy of time. On the other hand, people want to be more involved in the management of their own health”, highlights Daniel Ferreira, clinical director of Hospital da Luz Digital Clinical Centre.
All clients with Client Portal – and respective physicians – already have access to the functionality “My Data” of the Digital Clinical Centre. Those clients not yet having access to the Client Portal, may request access at the reception desk of any Hospital da Luz unit, by presenting an identification document.
The service Client Portal is presently available in the units of Amadora, Amarante, Arrábida, Cerveira, Lisboa, Porto, Póvoa de Varzim, Setúbal and Oeiras.
