Hospital da Luz reinforces its presence in Aveiro inaugurating on May 28 Clínica da Ria , in the surroundings of the train station, Rua General José Domingues Peres. “The clinic has been thought to complement the activity of Hospital da Luz Aveiro, adding new capacities and higher differentiation in assistance by reinforcing highly specialized areas. And it will be strongly dedicated to neurosciences”, states Pedro Beja Afonso, administrator of the Central region hospitals and clinics within the Hospital da Luz Network, in an interview published today on “Diário de Aveiro”. “The new clinic will be an ambulatory unit with imaging service and specialties such as dentistry, neurology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, psychiatry, and psychology, among others”, adds Pedro Beja Afonso. And he further reveals that “technological innovation will be one of the pillars of this unit: advanced imaging equipment will be available, including magnetic resonance, intelligent diagnostic support systems, and close digital integration between all Luz Saúde units”. The “significant investment” made by Luz Saúde in this new clinic “represents moreover a reinforcement of qualified work in the region, with the creation of new differentiated jobs”.
