In 2019, 6.375 babies were born in the hospitals of the Luz Saúde group , 109 more than in 2018. The maternities that registered the majority of births are those of Hospital da Luz Lisboa, with 2.644 babies, and Hospital Beatriz Ângelo, in Loures ((integrating the National Health Service and run by Luz Saúde in a public/private partnership), with 2.789. Regarding the other maternities , Hospital da Luz Arrábida, in Vila Nova de Gaia, was the one with the highest number of births (317), followed by Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim (209), Hospital da Luz Guimarães ( 171), Hospital da Luz Vila Real (149) and Hospital da Luz Aveiro (96).
