From January 2020 on, Hospital da Luz Setúbal will have available the subspecialty of Child Neuropsychology (integrated in the Neuropsychology Consultation ), coordinated by neuropsychologist Catarina Costa . Child neuropsychology is destined to children and youngsters between 7 and 18 , englobing the following clinical acts : Consultation; Child neuropsychological evaluation; Cognitive rehabilitation/cognitive training. Child neuropsychology has for main purpose the identification and intervention near children and youngsters with problems in several cognitive and behavioural areas, deriving from: Acquired brain lesions (such as cranioencephalic trauma, cerebrovascular accident and cerebral anoxia); Development disorders; Learning difficulties; Hyperactivity/attention deficit; or other medical conditions.
