Colorectal cancer is the second oncologic disease that most affects the Portuguese – and is, however, one of the easiest to prevent . Therefore, Hospital da Luz Setúbal will hold, on October 1 st , at Livramento Market, an awareness-raising action on the need for colorectal cancer prevention. The initiative, aimed at general population, results from a partnership with the Health Office of the Setúbal City Council. On this day, at the central area of the Livramento market, those interested will find a hospital team – consisting of a doctor, a nurse and a nutritionist – available to provide all the information on: the main risk factors of colorectal cancer ; warning signs ; and the reccomended periodic screening tests.
