In the context of its interventional activities near the community and actions towards the promotion of sports and physical exercise, Hospital da Luz Setúbal renovated its partnership with Academia de Padel de Setúbal , for the year 2022. Hospital da Luz gives name to one of the Academy’s playing fields and the agreement establishes its clinical support to the sports events organized by the academy. The formalization of the partnership took place last October 8, with the presence of Cristina Fezas Vital, the general manager of Hospital da Luz Setúbal, Rita Ferreira, representative of the Academy, and Ricardo Pereira Lopes, specialist in Sports Medicine from Hospital da Luz Setúbal (all on top, in the photo). Paddle is a racket sport played in pairs, using specific rackets and balls, in a rectangular field, totally enclosed. The easiness of learning and the fact that it can be played by men or women of all ages, explain the huge success of the modality in the recent years.
