Paulo Rego, the coordinator of the Orthopaedics Service from Hospital da Luz Lisboa and director of the of the Orthopaedics Service of Hospital Beatriz Ângelo , will present his clinical and researching experience in the area of hip preservation , during the next world congress of the Hip Preservation Society (ISHA) . The annual meeting of this society, gathering world specialists in the area, will take place in Madrid , between 1 7 and 19 October this year. The motto of the congress is “Team work in hip preservation”. In the panel on hip diseases in children and youth , organized by the European Hip Society, Paulo Rego will approach the topic “Advanced osteotomy” . It is worth noting that the team coordinated by this specialist has already successfully performed over 800 hip preservation surgeries in youth and young adults. Moreover, ISHA 2019 Annual Scientific Meeting will offer its participants debates, lectures, symposiums and workshops on the most recent and controversial topics in the field. The top renowned surgeons in the world will be present and share their experience and the best techniques used in conventional surgery, arthroscopy, hip preservation and rehabilitation. The scientific program plans to approach, in the three days of the event, the different stages of treatment strategy in hip diseases, from the simplest to the most complex ones.
