Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim was back on the street to support and encourage the population to practice sports. This time, a hospital team was present, on August 9, at Bruno Alves park (near Praia Verde), to provide clinical assistance to the athletes and participants of the beach tournaments that took place under the Sporty Summer program , an initiative of the Town Hall. Beach tennis, basketball, volleyball and futevolei were some of the featured sports, with free participation. The Hospital da Luz team – consisting of a doctor, a nurse and two physiotherapists – followed the competitions, ensuring all the necessary support to the participants and also to the population. Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim supports sports and thus contributes to preventive medicine.
