A group of Luz Saúde collaborators attended a masterclass of sculpture and ceramics with an artist of the project Manicómio. The session of last October 16 was held in the context of the initiative “20 years, 20 causes” , that celebrates Luz Saúde’s 20 th anniversary. “ How to make your own monster ” was the challenge of this masterclass, with ceramist Anabela Soares. Along two intensive and enjoyable hours, in the premises of project Manicómio, in Lisbon, the Luz Saúde collaborators got their hands in the dough and learned to work the clay, transferring to their pieces of art “the monster” unleashed from within each one of them. The Project Manicómio has for main goal to demystify the stigma associated with mental disease, encourage the employability of patients and promote their social inclusion. To celebrate its 20 th anniversary, Luz Saúde chose over 20 associations with different kinds of social intervention, that it supports and with which it develops several initiatives. A large part of these actions count with the direct involvement of the group’s collaborators.
