The Luz Saúde Group and the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Évora have signed a protocol that extends the partnership between the two institutions in the management of Hospital da Misericórdia de Évora for at least another ten years. Acknowledging the very positive outcomes of a partnership started in 2002 and the willingness to further strengthen mutual collaboration in the interest of the health needs of the population of Évora, the new protocol between Luz Saúde and Santa Casa foresees the commitment of the group that owns the Hospital da Luz network in a global investment in the expansion of the Hospital da Misericórdia de Évora over the next two years, of about 4.5 million euros. This investment aims to strengthen the unit’s assistance capacity and furnish it with more and better areas of service, consultation and examinations . In the context of this expansion, one of Luz Saúde’s main bets is the creation of a new imaging unit , equipped with modern equipment and capable of responding to the new clinical demands of this area. The Hospital da Misericórdia de Évora will then have, in addition to X-ray, ultrasound and mammography, new orthopantomography, CT scan and MRI equipment, in a substantial reinforcement of the imaging diagnostic and treatment responsiveness. The new protocol also establishes the expansion of the Hospital da Misericórdia de Évora’s buiding , with the construction of a new area for specialty consultations and special exams, and the refurbishment of some of the current consultation and exam areas. Finally, the renewal of the image of Hospital da Misericórdia de Évora is also foreseen, which becomes, in brand terms, associated with the Hospital da Luz network, thus deepening the connection with the group of referral hospitals managed by Luz Saúde. A property of Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Évora, the Hospital da Misericórdia de Évora has been managed in partnership with Luz Saúde since 2002 and is currently a reference in private health in Alentejo .
