Raquel Gil-Gouveia is the new president of the Portuguese Headache Society. The Hospital da Luz neurologist took office last August 9 and will exercise functions over the triennium 2021-2024 . “It will be an honour to be at the helm of this society over the next triennium and to pursue the work that has been done so far and which I have had the opportunity to follow closely”, states the neurologist, that was secretary to the departing board presided by Elsa Parreira . The goals for this term of office have already been established: “We want to continue promoting research in the area of headache, as well as contributing to raise an increased interest in these pathologies and respective therapeutic areas”, highlights Raquel Gil-Gouveia, who is the head of the Neurology Service.
