The Unit of Continuing Integrated Care (UCCI) from Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim celebrated its 10th anniversary, and marked the date on October 18 with a gala event open to patients’ friends and family , as well as all hospital professionals . The event took place in the auditorium of Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim, which was dully decorated with ornaments done by UCCI collaborators and patients. It was an afternoon filled with moments of joy and good mood. There was even a red carpet, Fado was sung and Oscars were awarded, distinguishing those collaborators who contributed along these 10 years with their knowledge and dedication, to the welfare of patients in this unit. The event wouldn’t be complete without a convivial luncheon concluding this day, that will certainly linger in the memory of all the participants, especially our patients, which are the true stars of UCCI.
