A significant share of Portuguese babies in 2024 were born in maternities of Hospital da Luz network: a total of 4.739. Hospital da Luz Lisboa stood out once again, hitting for the fourth consecutive year the record of births: 3.959. It was followed by Hospital da Luz Arrábida and Póvoa de Varzim maternities (with 203 babies each), Guimarães (189), Vila Real (170) and Aveiro (15).
