The main football teams of Associação Académica de Coimbra and SL Benfica will dispute on July 13, at Cidade de Coimbra Stadium, Hospital da Luz Cup. This is a friendly match to prepare the 2019/2020 football season. The game will be an excellent opportunity for the supporters of both teams to watch their idols in action and for both squads to tune their formations for the next season. In the stadium bleachers, around 200 Hospital da Luz collaborators will be present. Hospital da Luz is the official medical partner of both clubs, assuring clinical assistance and ready access to healthcare providing to the 4.500 Benfica athletes and 500 from Académica. Due to its differentiation and proximity to Estádio da Luz, Hospital da Luz Lisboa is the unit where SL Benfica athletes have their medical check-ups done, as well as the eventual medical and surgical assistance, at ambulatory or inpatient level, always in connection with the medical department of the “red” club. Also for proximity reasons, differentiated assistance and close collaboration with the medical department of the “student” club, Associação Académica de Coimbra’s athletes are followed up at Hospital da Luz Coimbra.
