The 7 th edition of the Accelerated Training in Intensive Care (FACIL) , organized by Hospital da Luz Learning Health, last May 21 and 22, offered the participants training sessions in essential techniques for the practice of intensive and emergency medicine , resorting to extremely realistic simulators . The high satisfaction of the participants and the strong demand in enrolment led to the planning of a new edition, still this year. The edition now completed was marked by a new format – b-learning –, combining theoretical contents with a strong practical component, along the two days of training. Using the latest didactical resources in simulation, available at the Training, Research and Innovation Centre of Hospital da Luz Learning Health , the participants had the opportunity to deal hands-on with multiple common situations in all spheres of intensive medicine. The case-based learning sessions , simulation and hybrid scenarios training allowed, on one hand, to bring the experience of learning closer to reality, in a targeted way and in a safe environment, under the supervision of experienced trainers in intensive medicine. The FACIL course is certified by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME ® ) with 14 credits. It is destined to: Internists in intensive medicine; Internists with an internship in intensive medicine; Internists from other specialties and interested in intensive medicine or emergency medicine.
