António Setúbal , director of the obstetrics and gynecology department at Hospital da Luz Lisboa and one of the world’s foremost medical authorities in endometriosis , chaired the most important and prestigious global congress on gynecology and minimally invasive surgery at the beginning of February. ENDO Dubai 2026 was held in Dubai from February 5 to 7 and gathered hundreds of specialists from around the world to share knowledge, innovation, and scientific excellence related to endometriosis and minimally invasive surgery. The Hospital da Luz specialist and president of ENDO Dubai 2026 opened the congress with a lecture whose title immediately drew attention — “Videoendoscopy: A Movie History – From Movies to Laparoscopy” — in which he explored the evolution of moving images leading to modern laparoscopy.
