A cancer diagnosis and the treatments that follow always have an impact on different levels, not only physically, but also psychologically, socially, and even professionally. To support breast cancer patients, the Oncology Centre at Hospital da Luz Lisboa organises support groups with specialists, whose mission is to promote the quality of life of women with breast cancer. These sessions address the physical, psychological and social effects related to breast cancer and its treatment. They also seek to create a space that encourages dialogue and the expression of feelings. The sessions are organised upon prior registration and moderated by clinical psychologist Rita Cunha de Eça and mental health nurse Marisa Pinheiro Falé . Registrations must be made by email to gruposuporte.oncologia@hospitaldaluz.pt . Priority is given to patients undergoing treatment at Hospital da Luz.
