Cancer treatments have evolved considerably in the latest years, so much that there are increasingly more people living longer with the disease. But “there is still a considerable percentage of people that don’t get cured and we cannot talk about them as losers”, alerts Isabel Galriça Neto , director of the Unit of Continuing and Palliative Care from Hospital da Luz Lisboa, in a statement for the project “I have cancer. So what?”. “I have cancer. So what?” is an editorial project by newspaper “Expresso” and SIC Channel, that approaches all questions concerning oncologic diseases, giving voice to the professionals that deal with the disease and also to patients .
