Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim supported the 7 th edition of Corrida dos Reis (The Three Kings Race), the running event that invites everyone to exercise right in the first days of the new year. With an 8 km route through the centre of the city, the event took place last Saturday, January 4, and hit all records of participants: 2,200. In the men’s and women’s races, the winners were Simão Bastos, from Sports and Culture Association Jardim da Serra, and Andreia Santos, from CSRDC Santiago. Hospital da Luz thanks the Póvoa de Varzim municipality and the organization – Bikeservice – for the opportunity to take part in this initiative once again. The running event Corrida dos Reis represents an important way to promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles, therefore, whenever the community so requires, Hospital da Luz is there! The Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim clinical team was located in the start area and finish line of the running event, and has provided assistance to athletes whenever necessary, always counting with the support of Póvoa de Varzim Volunteer Fire Brigade. The Hospital da Luz team included physician Pedro Coutinho , physiotherapists Joana Pinto and Samara Toledo, nurse Susana Macedo, and administrative staff Patrícia Santos, Bruno Pinheiro and João Giesteira.
