Hospital da Luz Setúbal celebrated the World Diabetes Day , on November 14, offering free screenings , at Centro Comercial Alegro. The hospital team – integrating Paula Dias, physician coordinator of General and Family Medicine, and nurses Milene Diogo and Daniela Barradas – performed over 100 screenings . This was another initiative by Hospital da Luz near the community, this time developed in partnership with Centro Comercial Alegro . Keep in mind: Diabetes is a chronic disease, most often silent, that causes complications in different organs reducing quality of life and longevity.
