«How Anaesthesiology Changed the World» (Como a Anestesiologia Mudou o Mundo) is the title of an exhibition held until the 8 th January 2016 at the second-floor hall of Hospital da Arrábida. Organised by the Portuguese Society of Anaesthesiology (SPA – Sociedade Portuguesa de Anestesiologia), the exhibition comprises several panels with texts and illustrations, which demonstrate the influence of Anaesthesiology in the progress of Science and Humanity, and how it progressively, throughout the years, has offered a continual improvement of quality and safety, in multiple and more and more differentiated medical treatments.
