Hospital da Luz will offer, in May, free consultations and screening on health indicators, in many of its hospitals and clinics (consult the list below). These units will open their doors to the community and the teams of General and Family Medicine will be available to consultations and in some units assessments of health indicators, such as cholesterol, glycaemia, blood pressure and heart rate. All those interested in participating in this initiative must previously register on MY LUZ*. In some units that are indicated in the list bellow they will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. This initiative happens in the context of celebration of the World Family Doctor Day. General and Family Medicine: Is a speciality responsible for primary healthcare. Is dedicated to the long term follow-up of the health of individuals in all age groups. Therefore, the physicians in this speciality have a relationship of proximity and a detailed knowledge of the health of their patients, thus playing a fundamental role in the promotion of health and the prevention of disease. Is celebrated every year on the World Family Doctor Day, established in 2010 by the World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA), as a way to highlight the role and contribute of these specialists in the provision of healthcare. Select the Hospital da Luz unit of your choosing. Choose the speciality of General and Family Medicine , and then, Open Day of General and Family Medicine . On the field Doctors, select All health professionals . Keep the option No agreement (in Agreements and other regimes). Click Continue and choose date and time available.
