Hospital da Luz Funchal is one of the private entities chosen by the Madeira Regional Government, in the context of the massive Covid-19 testing campaign of the population, to offer free rapid antigen tests to the region inhabitants. After the agreement established with Madeira pharmacies, the Regional Government enlarged the offer of rapid antigen tests to the whole population, expanding the agreement to private health units. Hospital da Luz Funchal, that is already working with several companies in the region in local testing campaigns for workers, integrates now the official list of adherent places, published in the IAS Saúde site , where any Madeira citizen can freely take, every 15 days, the Covid-19 rapid tests. Whenever necessary to make a trip, participate in events or even going to a restaurant, Madeira citizens can choose Hospital da Luz Funchal, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., upon previous scheduling through 291 700 000, to take a rapid antigen test. This possibility is also open to tourists that are required to take a test when returning home. The Hospital has been also collaborating with several companies in the region, performing regularly Covid-19 detection tests to all workers of those companies. Especially now with the massive return of tourism to Madeira Island, the hotels in the region have been requiring this support, mandatory in the context of the new rules, and have been counting with Hospital da Luz Funchal.
