The Patient Clinical Escape Game – a training game for medical teams developed by startups Nobox and UpHill and Hospital da Luz Learning Health – was in highlight in the 29 th Meeting of the General Medicine and Family Internship of the North Region, which took place on 3 and 4 November, in Lousada. Ten groups of internists participating in the meeting carried out this training game, designed to apply knowledge and train team work. A team of physicians, a clinical case and a short deadline to observe while saving the patient – this is, in essence, the challenge of Patient Getaway Escape Game, which in this session in Lousada had as trainer the physician Filipa Ferreira and Pfizer as sponsor. The game was designed and developed to train teams in solving clinical cases that may arise in real life. The concept of this clinical escape game is adaptable to the learning needs and purposes of the different organizations and professional teams. It has been undertaken, throughout 2022, by hundreds of health professionals and provides a quick, effective and fun method to consolidate clinical knowledge and, at the same time, enhance cross-disciplinary skills.
