“Health at school”, the project developed by Hospital da Luz Setúbal in schools of the region, was in St Peters School, last March 26 and April 2 . Groups of 9 th and 12 th grade students did activities and listened to health professionals talking about themes such as “Addictive behaviours” and “Affections and sexuality, respectively. Through games and roleplay strategies, the Hospital da Luz Setúbal team presented and discussed with 12 th grade students, topics such as proximity and commitment, healthy relationships, pregnancy prevention and sexually transmitted infections prevention. With 9 th grade students, using strategies of theoretical presentation, brainstorming and dynamic games, the health professionals approached addictive behaviours and their consequences, namely alcohol and tobacco consumption, drugs, and video games addiction. The Hospital da Luz Setúbal team for the 9 th grade activity included Beatriz Rodrigues (psychology intern), nurses Milene Diogo, Marina Leal, Ana Ferreira, and General and Family Medicine practitioner Joana Gonçalves (below in the photo). “Health at school” views the development of health competences in youths and children. It is a project organized based on the criteria defined in the national program of Health Education Promotion (PES) in schools and it was designed by Hospital da Luz Setúbal following requests from schools for information sessions on health themes adapted to the different age groups and education levels. In the context of our commitment of collaboration and support to the community, we have accepted the challenge – which was only possible thanks to the engagement of different services and multidisciplinary teams from this hospital. Nurses Milene Diogo, Marina Leal and Patrícia Mendes coordinated the session with 12 th grade students.
