The Hospital da Luz units in Póvoa de Varzim, Vila Real, Amarante and Cerveira celebrated a protocol with the Portuguese League Against Cancer (LPCC) / North Regional Nucleus (NRN) , foreseeing special conditions in the access to health services. The agreement was signed by representatives from both institutions (above, in the photo): Pedro Linhares (director-general of the before mentioned Hospital da Luz units) and Carlos Lobo (in representation of Vitor Veloso, the president of LPCC). The agreement encompasses the participant members, hospital volunteers, community volunteers (spouses and first-degree descendants) and employees of LPCC-NRN – namely in Barcelos, Braga, Bragança, Lamego, Marco de Canaveses, Valença and Vila Real. To benefit from the conditions agreed, it is mandatory to present an identification document and a valid card attesting the holder’s status. The protocol foresees discounts* on list prices for all health services, namely: Programmed consultations in medical or surgical specialities; Emergency consultations 24 h; Dental Medicine treatments; Diagnostic complementary exams; Surgeries and hospitalization; Deliveries.
