Like they say, “don’t change what is already good”, therefore, Hospital da Luz and Millennium Estoril Open organization renewed for another three years the partnership they have since 2015 and which ensures the best medical services to athletes and spectators of the major tennis tournament in the country. The agreement was signed last April 10 by Isabel Vaz, Luz Saúde CEO, the group owning Hospital da Luz Network, and João Zilhão, director of the tournament. “A major pillar of social responsibility of our Group is the promotion of health through sport. At Luz Saúde, we believe that the most important to remain healthy at all levels, physical and mental, is practicing exercise from a young age”, stated Isabel Vaz. In this sense, “Hospital da Luz has been investing strongly across its network on supporting athletes, from non-professional to top level athletes”. “Estoril Open has been tracing a fantastic path, being presently a top-level event. And we are very proud to be part of it”, concluded the Luz Saúde CEO. “Hospital da Luz is a partner of excellence that has been with us from the very first day. It is with great pride that we receive every year an ATP report giving maximum score to the tournament’s medical service” , highlighted on its turn João Zilhão. The director of the tournament reminded apropos “the fundamental work” of Hospital da Luz teams of physiotherapists and doctors for the success of some of the best world athletes that have played in Estoril tennis courts, namely Carlos Alcaraz, Medvedev, and João Sousa (the first national tennis player winning the Millennium Estoril Open, in 2018). “Thank you very much for your trust in us. It has been a good relationship: we can count with the best health service and Hospital da Luz can count with a great tournament”, concluded João Zilhão. The Millennium Estoril Open 2025 edition, this year a 175-category tournament in the ATP Challenger Tour, starts on April 26, with its final on May 4.
