Hospital da Luz Arrábida is the official sponsor of Foot Camp Dragon Force (summer edition), which takes place throughout the month of July at Consituição Park, in Porto, and which, this year, involves more than 1500 children, between 3 and 14 years. With equipment from Hospital da Luz Arrábida made especially for this foot camp, the future champions spent the month in training and football matches, learning to be athletes aware of their physical and mental health. First aid classes and psychology and nutrition sessions were part, among other activities, of this summer program, where the objective is to ‘prepare the champions of the future for life’. Hospital da Luz Arrábida monitored the day-to-day preparation of these champions, offered gifts and taught first aid, basic life support techniques and how to enhance performance through adequate nutrition. Because, to create an athlete, it is not enough to know how to play well. Foot Camp Dragon Force only ends at the end of July, but the balance can now be made. New friends were made.
