Hospital da Luz Arrábida and Hospital da Luz Clínica do Porto were present in the Oporto Book Fair 2025, which took place between August 22 and September 7, at Palácio de Cristal gardens. Along that period, the Hospital da Luz teams have developed a proximity initiative near the community allying the promotion of health to one of the most relevant cultural events in the city. In the weekends of the fair, about 4,170 health screenings were provided (including cardiovascular risk assessment, with blood pressure, cholesterol, BMI, and glycaemia measuring) and lung cancer screenings. These moments allowed to raise awareness to the importance of prevention and early diagnosis of these diseases. Besides screenings, Hospital da Luz ensured the clinical support in the precinct , providing first aid to visitors whenever necessary. The teams were also available to provide information and clarify doubts, namely to people interested on services of Hospital da Luz Network, such as LUZ 24 , video consultations, differentiated consultations, and the LUZ ON PRIME card. The participation of Hospital da Luz in Oporto Book Fair was very positively welcomed by the public, showing their appreciation for the integration of the health aspect in a culture and leisure space. This initiative allowed us not only to support the visitors of the fair, but also reinforce the importance of prevention and promotion of health in different contexts of daily life.
