Hospital da Luz Guimarães celebrated a protocol with the Volunteer Firefighters of Guimarães ( Associação Humanitária de Bombeiros Voluntários de Vila do Conde ), establishing special conditions for the corporation elements, their direct family and corporation associates. The protocol was signed last March 9 by Sérgio Viana and Ana Abreu, administrator and general director of Hospital da Luz Guimarães , respectively, and João Pedro Castro and Bento Marques, the chairman of the board and the commander of the Association, respectively (all in the photo above, from left to right). This initiative emerges in the scope of a strategy of support to the population in the access to healthcare that Hospital da Luz have been developing. The agreement provides discounts* on official costs for all services, namely: Emergency consultations 24 hours; Planned consultations in medical or surgical specialties; Dental medicine treatments; Complementary diagnostic exams; Surgeries and deliveries; Inpatient services. The beneficiaries can get information on these special conditions through the administrative services of the Volunteer Firefighters of Guimarães or through Hospital da Luz Guimarães (tel. 253 420 300). *The agreed discounts are not cumulative with others the beneficiaries may have through health insurance or other agreements, conventions and protocols.
