Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim (HLPV), as of September 1, will be the exclusive partner in health and the Official Medical Provider for the basketball section of Clube Desportivo da Póvoa (CDP). The protocol establishing this partnership will be signed on July 31 and envisages the clinical and personalized follow-up of CDP basketball players by Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim, as well as benefits and easier access to the hospital services for CDP members. This protocol establishes a partnership deemed as strategic for both parties, representing an important support for the development of local sport provided by Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim. Grupo Luz Saúde has been investing in the integration of local communities through the support to sports activities and clubs and professional disciplines, existing in the cities where its network of hospitals and clinics is inserted, this partnership now established in Póvoa de Varzim being another example of that investment. The HLPV thus asserts itself as an institution that aggregates the promotion and development of sports activities and healthy life practices, near the population it serves.
