Hundreds of athletes and fans of walking participated, on May 5, in the 7 th edition of Vila Real Half-Marathon . The event, usually happening in September, but this time anticipated, is already a tradition in the city and counted once again with the support of Hospital da Luz Vila Real. The Hospital da Luz team included nurses Diana Nogueira and Vera Ribeiro, who ensured the clinical and nursing assistance to the participants in the three events along the main streets of the city: the half-marathon (21 km), the mini-marathon (7 km) and the walk (5 km). The competition was organized by Vila Real Athletics Association and the City Council . Hospital da Luz Vila Real congratulates all the participants, in particular the winners in the men and women categories, respectively Ricardo Pereira and Doroteia Peixoto. The practice of sport is fundamental for a healthier life and preventing disease. The practice of sport in safety is also a goal for Hospital da Luz.
