Hospital da Luz Clínica Santa Maria da Feira was one of the sponsors of Europarque Half-Marathon that took place on March 21, with the participation of hundreds of athletes. The initiative that happens every year in early spring reasserted itself as a regional reference in the promotion of sport and healthy lifestyles. Starting and finishing at the Europarque congress centre, the event integrated different competitions and activities, including the half-marathon (21 km), the walking, and competitions for the youngest, like the Junior Run, offering an inclusive and accessible experience to athletes of all levels, from experienced runners to amateurs and families. Throughout the track and surrounding area, there was an atmosphere of great enthusiasm, marked by conviviality, personal overcoming, and incentive to the regular practise of physical activity. The Europarque Half-Marathon stood out, once again, by its competitive component, but also by the strong social and community aspect, engaging participants from different ages and promoting values such as health, welfare, and team spirit. Hospital da Luz Clínica Santa Maria da Feira was present in the event, reinforcing its proximity to the local community and its active role in the promotion of literacy in health and disease prevention. The participation included the presence of Lu, Hospital da Luz mascot, offering moments of great joy to athletes, families, and visitors, especially the young ones. This involvement enabled moreover to raise the awareness of participants to the importance of adopting healthy lifestyles, namely through the regular practise of physical exercise. By joining this initiative, Hospital da Luz Clínica Santa Maria da Feira reinforces its commitment to promoting the health and welfare of the population.
