Hospital da Luz Lisboa, in partnership with the Portuguese Society of Pneumology (SPP), will join the initiative ‘ Lisboa COM… PULMÃO’ (Lisbon with lungs) which is taking place in Monsanto Interpretation Centre, on September 25, the World Lung Day. A Hospital da Luz team will be available to conduct free spirometry tests (respiratory function tests) and provide information on risk factors associated with pulmonary diseases. ‘Lisboa COM… PULMÃO’ aims to raise awareness among the population to the importance of respiratory health and lung disease prevention. It will be a day filled with activities destined to all ages and allowing to learn more about pulmonary health – namely exhibitions, talks with specialists, an interactive quiz, demonstration of exercises to learn how to breathe efficiently, games for children, and oriented walks through Monsanto, the park known as Lisbon’s “green lung”.
