Hospital da Luz Arrábida held, on October 9, the European Arthroscopy Fellowship, a course in arthroscopic surgery for the treatment of sports lesions, which counted with the participation of specialists from different European scientific societies. Alcindo Silva , Hospital da Luz Arrábida orthopedist and president of the Portuguese Society of Arthroscopy and Sports Traumatology (SPAT), demonstrated several knee surgical techniques. The gathering also counted as hosts and moderators with orthopedists Hélder Pereira and Carlos Mesquita Queirós , also from Hospital da Luz and board members of SPAT. The training was particularly destined to recent doctors specializing in Orthopedics, interested in further their knowledge in arthroscopy, a minimally invasive surgical technique where it is possible to access joints through small incisions. Besides those orthopedists from Hospital da Luz, in this European Arthroscopy Fellowship were also present representatives from ESSKA (European Society of Traumatology Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy in Sports), SFA (Société Francophone d’Arthroscopie) AEA (Spain), SIAGASCOTT (Italy) and AGA (Germany).
