Miguel Silva , the clinical director of Hospital da Luz Funchal, has no doubt that in the last two months, due to the restrictions imposed by covid-19 , “there have been many cases of undiagnosed disease”, which need to be addressed. Therefore, “if the Health Service of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (Sesaram) so decides and if there is need”, Hospital da Luz Funchal “has the capacity” and is available to work in the resuming of clinical activity in the region, as he stated in the TV show “Consultório”, broadcasted by RTP Madeira , on May 13. How the health public and private services in Madeira are working, after about two months of confinement of the population in order to contain and fight covid-19, was the main topic of the TV show, which had as central guest Júlio Nobre, Sesaram’s clinical director, and interventions by representatives of several public and private health institutions in the region. “ Sesaram is a public and private service, we all are part of it and have been working for several years now together, for the sake of our community”, highlighted Miguel Silva.
