Hospital da Luz Clínica da Amadora has a new Computer Tomography equipment (CT) available, allowing faster imaging exams with higher comfort for the client. This equipment is a further investment of Luz Saúde group in order to constantly keep up with technological innovation. Computer tomography is an imaging technique that uses ionizing radiation, which is necessary for the diagnosis and follow-up of many diseases. This new CT equipment available at Hospital da Luz Clínica da Amadora offers the following advantages: Faster imaging – and, consequently, higher comfort for the patient; Reduction of the radiation dose used; Advanced software, allowing a better quality of image, without increasing the radiation dose; Widening of the range of exams performed in the unit, namely, angiographic studies (diagnostic exams enabling to observe circulation inside the blood vessels); Possibility to carry out exams on metallic prostheses bearers, with higher quality and notable reduction of image artifact.
