As part of International Nurse Day, celebrated May 12 last, the Hospital de Santiago came together with Sebastião da Gama High School in Setúbal, of which it is a patron, to hold an information and training initiative on obesity in adolescents. The event aimed to help promote healthy lifestyles and prevent obesity, and covered all students from 7 th to 10 th grade at the school. There were two screening sessions for nurses from the Hospital de Santiago, which included a body mass index (BMI) assessment and the teaching of measures to promote healthy lifestyles, particularly with regard to a balanced diet and exercise.
