Hospital da Luz Lisboa has been certified as Aerospace Medicine Center (AeMC) by ANAC, the National Authority of Civil Aviatio n, according to EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) standards, offering consultations, analyses and all the exams required by professionals in this sector to perform their duties. Also Hospital da Luz Oeiras counts with physicians certified as aeromedical examiners (AME), performing all the exams at the exception of Class 1 examinations. These check-ups are carried out by teams comprising health professionals specialized in the area, under the coordination of Maria João Marta . At Hospital da Luz Lisboa, one of the four aerospace medicine centers certified by ANAC , the following exams may be performed: Initial exam / revalidation / renewal for the issuing of Class 1 medical certificates (professional pilots); Initial exam / revalidation / renewal for the issuing of Class 2 medical certificates (private pilots); Initial exam / revalidation / renewal for the issuing of medical reports (cabin crew).
