The International Hospital Federation (IHF) conferred Luz Saúde, owner of Hospital da Luz network of hospitals and clinics, the “ Excellence Award in Quality, Safety and Patient Centred Healthcare ”, for the medicine project based on value that is under development. The award was delivered to Filipe Costa (at the centre, in the photo above), Hospital da Luz Lisboa manager who integrates the team involved in the project, during the 43th IHF Congress, which took place in Oman, between 6 and 9 November. The distinguished project – “Development of a tool of ePROMs as the main concept of outcome measure in value based healthcare in Luz Saúde” – integrates the medicine plan based on value, that is being developed by Grupo Luz Saúde. It consists, namely, in the creation of a web platform allowing exclusive interaction in the measuring of the results reported by patients (PROMs) by pathology, between patient and doctor and/or nurse following the case. The awards of the International Hospital Federation were established in the view of distinguishing the hospitals and other healthcare providing organizations “for innovation, excellence, exceptional projects and best practices in areas that deserve international recognition”.
