The 16 th edition of the Laparoscopic Gynaecology Advanced Course at Minho University School of Medicine, which took place from 14 to 16 May, has included the live streaming of an endometriosis high-complexity surgery, conducted at Hospital da Luz Arrábida by the team led by Hélder Ferreira . This surgery was a crucial moment of the course, since it allowed the participants to follow in real time the laparoscopic approach of a deep endometriosis complex case, with a special focus on pelvic anatomy, retroperitoneal dissection, surgical strategy, safety of procedures, and intraoperative decision-making. The Advanced Course of Laparoscopic Gynaecology at Minho University School of Medicine: Is organized by Hélder Ferreira , Cristina Nogueira Silva, and João Bernardes. Its goal is to reinforce technical and anatomical competences in minimally invasive surgery, particularly in the treatment of complex gynaecological pathology, including endometriosis, gynaecological oncology, and pelvic reconstruction. Has been receiving very positive overall appreciation by participants. They highlight as strong points of this training, the combination of theoretical sessions, practical training in simulators, and follow-up of a live surgery, according to an educational module oriented towards structured learning of the main steps in advanced gynaecological laparoscopy. Integrates in its scientifical committee specialists of recognized experience in the area, namely, António Setúbal , Filipa Osório and José Reis . This collaboration between Hospital da Luz Arrábida and Minho University School of Medicine reflects the shared commitment towards the differentiated training of health professionals, surgical innovation, and the promotion of excellence in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery.
