From October 1 on, the Pediatric Service at Hospital da Luz Guimarães will be available 24 hours a day, all year long. With a specialized team of doctors and nurses and dedicated facilities, the Pediatrics Unit of Hospital da Luz Guimarães is under the direction of Dr Tiago Prazeres and is progressively at the level of the best service available in healthcare for children. This service develops a wide healthcare provision, namely: Urgent pediatric service available all year long, 24 hours a day, focused on the diagnosis and treatment or urgent/non-programmed situations; General Pediatrics and other pediatric specialties programmed consultations; Pediatric internment; Day Hospital for the follow-up of complex cases not requiring internment, but requiring regular surveillance and/or treatment.
