Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetical Surgery is one of the specialties with interventions performed in the Operating Theatre of Hospital da Luz Clínica de Odivelas. The team is led by plastic surgeon Leandro Nobre Azevedo , with the main areas of intervention of hand surgery, skin tumour surgery, breast reconstructive surgery, aesthetical surgery and body contouring surgery. Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetical Surgery is dedicated to the surgical treatment of diseases, malformations (congenital or acquired) and traumatic lesions of the skin and soft tissues. It divides into two main areas: Reconstructive surgery , that has for purpose the anatomical reconstruction and functional recovery of affected structures of the body – such as, for instance, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, excision of skin tumours, breast reconstruction, scar revision and burn treatment; Aesthetical surgery , such as, for instance, abdominoplasty, correction of alterations caused by aging in the face, neck and limbs, rhinoplasty, mentoplasty and otoplasty for optimization of anatomical features, scar removal, lipoaspiration, liposculpture and vibro-liposuction, breast reduction or augmentation surgery and prosthetic implants with aesthetic purposes.
