Hospital da Luz Setúbal received on May 13 the visit of the president of the City Council , Maria das Dores Meira, in the scope of a series of journeys to acknowledge the work developed by the institutions that are in the front line of the fight against covid-19 pandemics. The president of the City Council expressed “great pride” in the work “of excellence” performed by health professionals. José Ferreira Santos , clinical director of Hospital da Luz Setúbal, explained that, during the most critical phase of the pandemic, this hospital opted by privileging the conduction of phone and videoconsultations , “in all safety” for health professionals and patients. The return to activity is now in a phased progress, he added, “with tight control on entry”, including the supply of facial masks, temperature measuring and screening, in order to avoid high concentrations of people in the waiting areas. Hospital da Luz Setúbal thus meets all the conditions to continue to provide healthcare in all safety and play a closest role to the community. We remind that Hospital da Luz is one among a hundred entities and personalities in the region appointed by the municipality as Setúbal Ambassadors. This visit of the president of Setúbal City Council was accompanied by councillors Carlos Rabaçal (responsible for the area of Civil Protection) and Ricardo Oliveira (responsible for the area of Health) and also by the coordinator of the Municipal Service of Civil Protection and Fire Department, José Luís Bucho
