The Puppet Hospital (Hospital da Bonecada) is back to Praça Central at Centro Comercial Colombo, between April 22 and May 1, counting once again with the support of Hospital da Luz . This is the 21 st edition of the annual initiative of the Students Association of Medical Sciences Faculty (AEFCM), NOVA Medical School, with the purpose of helping children lose their fear of “white coats, through fun moments of learning, that are expected to be memorable. Every day, children from 3 to 10 years old will be able to visit “Tinoni” and help the medicine students to take care and treat their puppets. At the Puppet Hospital: Several hospital spaces are recreated; Children are invited to bring a puppet, that will become the “patient” in need of medical care; Children are received and followed-up by “doctors” (students from different courses in the health area), who recreate hospital activities in a playful way adapted to the children. Entry is free and fun is guaranteed , hand in hand with education for health and prevention. The Puppet Hospital is a project of the NOVA Medical School AEFCM and is developed in collaboration with other Lisbon faculties.
